one mediator

For there is one God and one mediator between God and humanity, Christ Jesus, Himself human, 1 Timothy 2:5 HCSB

Hinduism does not comprehend why Christians claim there is only one God, they have many. In fact it becomes uncomfortable when we press the point. We appear very ungracious, as their attitude in allowing for Jesus is accomodating, yet it denies His supreme authority.

This scripture is quite definite: there is only one God, one mediator.

In fanily disputes the courts often nominate a mediator. Family members cannot then choose to mediate themselves, as they were not appointed.

Jesus was nominated as our mediator, no one else is acceptable, no one else is pure enough, holy enough, righteous enough. He alone is good. He earned the right through His death on a cross and in rising again was crowned as the prince, the mediator, the supreme authority.
