the promise
4 He will wipe every tear from their eyes, and there will be no more death or sorrow or crying or pain. All these things are gone forever.” Revelation 21:4 NLT

This verse follows:
3 I heard a loud shout from the throne, saying, “Look, God’s home is now among his people! He will live with them, and they will be his people. God himself will be with them.
This verse rings true for what we have as Christians, but perhaps, fail to recognise, God is with us. We have Him dwelling within our spirits. Each of us has His Spirit within. This is a downpayment of the above promise. Chapter 21 of Revelation is talking about the new heaven and new earth. In verse 5 God, the One seated on the throne, says:
3 I heard a loud shout from the throne, saying, “Look, God’s home is now among his people! He will live with them, and they will be his people. God himself will be with them. 6 And he also said, “It is finished! I am the Alpha and the Omega—the Beginning and the End. To all who are thirsty I will give freely from the springs of the water of life. 7 All who are victorious will inherit all these blessings, and I will be their God, and they will be my children.
These promises are for now. If we thirst for God He will give freely from the springs of the water of life, if we are victorious we will inherit all the blessings promised.
From verse 9 the view is of the new Jerusalem. A good read, a beautiful place, one we should want to live in.
For now, I will apprehend the promise of living water, I will seek God for His presence in my relationships, my finances, my health. Amen!
