a mobile home

I awoke in the night and knew the Lord wanted a word. He showed me I am a mobile home for His Holy Spirit. As I see myself as this and allow Him room to move, He will. Conversely, as I strive to do my thing I lose. I lose seeing His glory manifest through me, I lose fulfillment, I lose the joy of partnering with Him.

Choosing to be a servant is wise. Choosing to live for me is certain failure. Many great men and women have been asked the secret of their success. It is always the same: pray and obey. 

Tonight I must foolishly present myself as a choice for President of the astronomy club. I wonder what will happen? I don't want the job, but if I am serving the Lord, there is  reason.

Let us see what God is up to. Amen!

No surrender to fear

““Don’t worry or surrender to your fear. For you’ve believed in God, now trust and believe in me also.” ‭‭John‬ ‭14‬:‭1‬ ‭TPT‬‬ Yesterday tens of thousands of youth stormed Parliament House here in Nepal. It has been reported that 20 were killed and hundreds were injured. I had stayed away from the area believing it to be unsafe and it was. Today, now that young people have been killed, there will be a greater strife brought about by parents of those who went to the protest. Milling children is never a good idea. Nepal has had a long history of strife. It has a civil war that lasted 10 years not so long back. Corruption fills the government and the people are not happy. However, underneath there are lovely human beings who need salvation. As in any race of people, there are people who have needs. I cannot be afraid of the uprest. I have a God who is the master of peace. He is good! I must trust Him. Amen!

Guard your heart

“So above all, guard the affections of your heart, for they affect all that you are. Pay attention to the welfare of your innermost being, for from there flows the wellspring of life.” Proverbs‬ ‭4‬:‭23‬ ‭TPT‬‬ I want to focus on the last sentence here, because it is explains why the first. I have an old friend who used to say to me, “Di let peace be your governor”. It was easier said than done. I was going through some very difficult times when he told me that. However, he was right. Yesterday was a difficult day in part. I had determined to give my body a day of rest. I walked several kilometres to church and attended the prayer meeting. Unfortunately, after the prayer meeting I was best by refugees wanting my help. It became very frustrating and by the time the service started my insides were a mess.
