believing

If you confess with your mouth, “Jesus is Lord,” and believe in your heart that God raised Him from the dead, you will be saved. Romans 10:9 HCSB

What we believe about a matter shows under stress. If life is all about me, selfishness will flow out. If it is about God and others, grace and mercy will flow out.

This morning before waking i had a dream about a young couple. The woman was disabled. She wore callipers on her lower legs. He husband did not mind as he loved her very much.

I felt I should offer them a room in my home and did so. The woman told me they currently lived in a crowded house and shared a room with someone else. They would soon need to leave this place. I then felt I had made the right decision.  I took the young woman with me to look at my spare rooms. However, as we went to each room it was occupied, unbeknownst to me. The first had a pharmacy in it, the second a preschool. I was becoming distraught, yet the young woman was positive. There were many people around, and as I looked to go to the next room I saw the house was split in two by a creek. I was aware that to go across the creek may be too difficult for the woman. I was very concerned. I then awoke.

The love the husband had for the woman reminded me of Jesus' love. The house I think was the church. I was the pastor.  The crowd were the people attending the church. The pharmacy and preschool seemed to indicate a monetary loss of direction. I could not find a home for the young woman. The people were blind to the need.  None tried to help, noone was aware. Sad!

At breakfast I saw a post on FB by a disabled friend of mine. It made me wonder. I knew he would not fit in the church.
