Lord over all

9 And the Lord will be king over all the earth. On that day there will be one Lord—his name alone will be worshiped. Zechariah 14:9 NLT

Can you imagine this? Outside of heaven, I can't.  Yet this is what the prophesy says. To my mind it ties in with the millennial reign of Christ on the earth. Imagine the earth living under the rulership of Christ for 1,000 years, and Satan being locked away. How peaceful! Unfortunately he is released at the end of 1,000 years,  and he incites all the nations of the world to rise up against Christ for the last final battle, then he is gone forever, and so is the earth as we know it.

Prophesy is intriguing. Trying to discern what is imagery and what is factual is a challenge. I think if we remember that God uses imagery. Remember Daniel? Ezekiel? If not check the books out.

The best thing to remember is that Jesus wins. Amen!

I had another dream last night. It was about a university.  The students lived in. Girls in one dorm and boys in another. However, the uni decided it did not want the responsibility anymore, and encouraged the students to find houses to live in with 3 boys and 3 girls. I was concerned about this, more about how to keep the order. I remember a student saying to me, "how will I move my mattress to the house"? I was unconcerned thinking, everyone else managed, work it out. (A bit harsh). Now I am waiting for the understanding. I have visitors tonight. Let's see if it applies to them.

Little Things Grow

The boy's mother said to Elisha, "as The Lord lives and you yourself live, I will not leave you. So he got up and followed her. 2 Kings 4:30 The Shunamite woman had travelled to Mt Carmel to find Elisha after the death of her son. Although Elisha had sent his servant Gehazi to the boy with his staff the woman had come to find Elisha and was not leaving without him. I like this lady's spirit. I am sure The Lord God Almighty also valued her heart. She had a heart for God and made room for Him in her world. Now, having lost her son she knew what to do: find Elisha and not let him go until he came to restore her son. What made the Shunamite woman believe that Elisha could raise her son? Was it the same faith that made her provide him a place to stay in her home? I believe it was God working in her life. I am grateful for her faith, I can read and be encouraged.
