no weapon

Our enemy thrown many things at us. First we must recognise who is doing the throwing and second we must use appropriate weapons to deal with him. Thirdly our God promises that the enemy's weapons will not succeed. Whilst this verse is a part of God's promise to Israel, us Christians can take the scripture to heart and appropriate it for ourselves.

Before waking today I had a dream about an earthquake happening here in my city at 12.15pm. Whilst the earthquake levelled most buildings, the one I was in was unharmed and so was I.

I remember the earthquake of Newcastle NSW. My family and I were on Fraser Island, just finishing our holiday. We could not believe that an earthquake the size of 5.6 occurred in Australia and because our building are not required to withstand earthquakes much devestation occurred.

I pray my dream was just that. However, if a warning I will be ready. Always we must be ready as we live in perilous times. We do not have the luxury of sitting around wasting time on social media. There are people who need Jesus. Amen!

Little Things Grow

The boy's mother said to Elisha, "as The Lord lives and you yourself live, I will not leave you. So he got up and followed her. 2 Kings 4:30 The Shunamite woman had travelled to Mt Carmel to find Elisha after the death of her son. Although Elisha had sent his servant Gehazi to the boy with his staff the woman had come to find Elisha and was not leaving without him. I like this lady's spirit. I am sure The Lord God Almighty also valued her heart. She had a heart for God and made room for Him in her world. Now, having lost her son she knew what to do: find Elisha and not let him go until he came to restore her son. What made the Shunamite woman believe that Elisha could raise her son? Was it the same faith that made her provide him a place to stay in her home? I believe it was God working in her life. I am grateful for her faith, I can read and be encouraged.
