living within

All who declare that Jesus is the Son of God have God living in them, and they live in God. 1 John 4:15 NLT

Verse 13 tells us: this is how we know that we remain in Him and He in us: He has given assurance to us from His Spirit. (HCSB version) being given assurance by God is awesome. There are so many places that do not give affirmation,  or assurance, but God, the creator of all things chooses to do that for each of us.

Think about this truth for a moment. The God who created the universe, knows what atoms go together, makes inception possible using a sperm and an egg, how cool is that?

There is no room for condemnation or feeling of unworthiness here. Romans 8 tells us: there is no condemnation for those who are in Christ Jesus. If you are feeling condemned it is not God doing it. You must, therefore, examine who it is.

We are invited to live in God. Think about that! No! You are not bound to the house, the land you find yourself in, but have been made free to dwell in God. In John 15 Jesus tells us to dwell, abide in Him. From the mouth of the saviour we are welcome to abide in Him. Amen!

Little Things Grow

The boy's mother said to Elisha, "as The Lord lives and you yourself live, I will not leave you. So he got up and followed her. 2 Kings 4:30 The Shunamite woman had travelled to Mt Carmel to find Elisha after the death of her son. Although Elisha had sent his servant Gehazi to the boy with his staff the woman had come to find Elisha and was not leaving without him. I like this lady's spirit. I am sure The Lord God Almighty also valued her heart. She had a heart for God and made room for Him in her world. Now, having lost her son she knew what to do: find Elisha and not let him go until he came to restore her son. What made the Shunamite woman believe that Elisha could raise her son? Was it the same faith that made her provide him a place to stay in her home? I believe it was God working in her life. I am grateful for her faith, I can read and be encouraged.
