patience
The Lord isn’t really being slow about his promise, as some people think. No, he is being patient for your sake. He does not want anyone to be destroyed, but wants everyone to repent.
2 Peter 3:9 NLT

Why is the Lord slow? I am sure that Moses, David, Daniel and Joseph all wondered about this. Moses was stuck in the backside of the desert for 40 years, David was chased by King Saul for around 13 years, Daniel spent his whole adult life in Babylon, Joseph was in captivity; first as a slave then as a prisoner. Yet all rose to great prominence, after suffering for a time. Abraham was called by God to go to a land He would show Abraham. He was promised a son. The son took 25 years to arrive. A whole lot of frustration went on between all these men, but God came through for each.
Do we have reason or a right to complain? We may think we have a reason, but when we consider all that these men went through, do we have a right? No!
The solution: patience! Amen!
