I am very much aware that I as an individual can become deceived, picked off by my enemy the devil. However, I also know that as I surround myself with others who are strong in the Lord, and allow them into my life, I am safe.

I have a travelling buddy who is the most unlikely person. He is a confirmed bachelor who has very strong opinions. Yet, God has given this man to me to travel and work with in Nepal and now perhaps China. When I have a serious need, my God will often use this man. I have to trust the Lord that He knows what He is doing.

Travelling alone in Nepal is not good. When I am there I also link up with a Christian organisation who does what I do, reach out to the lost.

At home I belong to a church and a weekly bible study group. Alone we can develop all manner of opinions and attitudes which are not correct. Yet together we rub off the rough edges. We may not like that process but it is a godly one. Amen!

Little Things Grow

The boy's mother said to Elisha, "as The Lord lives and you yourself live, I will not leave you. So he got up and followed her. 2 Kings 4:30 The Shunamite woman had travelled to Mt Carmel to find Elisha after the death of her son. Although Elisha had sent his servant Gehazi to the boy with his staff the woman had come to find Elisha and was not leaving without him. I like this lady's spirit. I am sure The Lord God Almighty also valued her heart. She had a heart for God and made room for Him in her world. Now, having lost her son she knew what to do: find Elisha and not let him go until he came to restore her son. What made the Shunamite woman believe that Elisha could raise her son? Was it the same faith that made her provide him a place to stay in her home? I believe it was God working in her life. I am grateful for her faith, I can read and be encouraged.
