above and beyond

This scripture is true, I have proved it. I tl God all I need and He keeps assuring me,"You have all that you need!" Note, I did not say want.  He indiscriminately drops desired wants in my lap, when He chooses.

I had had several mats and all my dogs past and present had soiled them, marking them quite a lot. I had asked for a short pile rug of a particular kind and yesterday I received a promise of it. My elderly neighbour is moving to Canberra and had this rug, which she cared for very well. I will be very honoured to receive it. God's gifts are not easily destroyed,  He cares for them, as do I.

Also yesterday I received above and beyond what I asked for God prompted another elderly friend to give me a food hamper. Whilst I don't need it now, it will have a place, because God has a plan, perhaps for someone else. We are about to experience food shortages, as trucks will not be able to run after a certain time due to lack of urea for their systems that prevent pollution. God is always ahead of us.

Giving thanks is important. Always be grateful! Always, in good times and bad times! Amen!

Little Things Grow

The boy's mother said to Elisha, "as The Lord lives and you yourself live, I will not leave you. So he got up and followed her. 2 Kings 4:30 The Shunamite woman had travelled to Mt Carmel to find Elisha after the death of her son. Although Elisha had sent his servant Gehazi to the boy with his staff the woman had come to find Elisha and was not leaving without him. I like this lady's spirit. I am sure The Lord God Almighty also valued her heart. She had a heart for God and made room for Him in her world. Now, having lost her son she knew what to do: find Elisha and not let him go until he came to restore her son. What made the Shunamite woman believe that Elisha could raise her son? Was it the same faith that made her provide him a place to stay in her home? I believe it was God working in her life. I am grateful for her faith, I can read and be encouraged.
