clap your hands

Come, everyone! Clap your hands! Shout to God with joyful praise!

Clapping is a well know method of praising an artist, someone who has done well in any field, someone who has overcome great obstacles in life. Our God has done great and mighty things and He deserves our praise, joyful praise! 

Today did not turn out as planned but it did tun out. I had a flat battery this morning and had to wait most of the day for help to arrive. Meantime I watched church online, relaxed, read and played the piano. My nephew took me to buy a new battery and installed it for me, the new one works like a charm. Rather than rail against having to buy a new one, I knew the Lord had given me the money for a reason. After this I went to help a friend peel apricots to make jam. All was well until I smelt a burning, although the recipe said not to stir, it should have been as it burned and we lost the lot. In my haste to save it I hit my leg and bust a blood vessel and my leg swelled up with a huge egg on the side.

However, during all the drama I sensed God moving. I know He is moving in my street and souls are coming to salvation.  Amen!

Little Things Grow

The boy's mother said to Elisha, "as The Lord lives and you yourself live, I will not leave you. So he got up and followed her. 2 Kings 4:30 The Shunamite woman had travelled to Mt Carmel to find Elisha after the death of her son. Although Elisha had sent his servant Gehazi to the boy with his staff the woman had come to find Elisha and was not leaving without him. I like this lady's spirit. I am sure The Lord God Almighty also valued her heart. She had a heart for God and made room for Him in her world. Now, having lost her son she knew what to do: find Elisha and not let him go until he came to restore her son. What made the Shunamite woman believe that Elisha could raise her son? Was it the same faith that made her provide him a place to stay in her home? I believe it was God working in her life. I am grateful for her faith, I can read and be encouraged.
