living water

“Is anyone thirsty? Come and drink— even if you have no money! Come, take your choice of wine or milk— it’s all free! Why spend your money on food that does not give you strength? Why pay for food that does you no good? Listen to me, and you will eat what is good. You will enjoy the finest food. Isaiah 55:1‭-‬2 NLT

When Isaiah spoke these words little did He know the coming Messiah would speak similar words, with authority:
But those who drink the water I give will never be thirsty again. It becomes a fresh, bubbling spring within them, giving them eternal life.” John 4:14 NLT
Here He was speaking to a Samaritan woman who would become one of the first evangelists.
Next Jesus was attending a festival and stood and spoke the following:
Anyone who believes in me may come and drink! For the Scriptures declare, ‘Rivers of living water will flow from his heart.’” (When he said “living water,” he was speaking of the Spirit, who would be given to everyone believing in him. But the Spirit had not yet been given, because Jesus had not yet entered into his glory.)
John 7:38 NLT

The Holy Spirit is the living water which Jesus spoke about. We are beneficiaries of this outpouring.  Now we can experience that outflow of living water. Let it flow! Amen!
