salty or bland?

God blesses those who are persecuted for doing right, for the Kingdom of Heaven is theirs.
Matthew 5:10 NLT

When we are persecuted we must first check if it is for righteous behaviour, or selfish, fearful behaviour. Jesus taught about being blessed for being persecuted for righteousness, but a few verses later He talks about salt losing its flavour, and loving your enemies.

Always, always we must evaluate if our behaviour bring glory to God or dishonour.

Today our Australian Government tabled a Religious Discrimination Bill. Most were wanting it to be passed to afford protection to Christian Schools being able to hire Christians.  Unfortunately, tied to the bill was allowing Christian schools to discriminate against gays and trans children. This is sad.

We continually seek to protect ourselves, marginalising others. It is the others He came to seek and save. Thr Pharisees didn't want the others. I pray we are not also Pharisaical also.
