doing good
The eyes of the Lord watch over those who do right, and his ears are open to their prayers. But the Lord turns his face against those who do evil.” 1 Peter 3:12 NLT
This is a good promise, or more a fact. It is wise to ask, "is this evil, are my words evil?" We assume not but what does the Lord see? We are often right in our own eyes. However, who is controlling the narrative? Are we being manipulated by evil?
We may think we are able to drink wine, and in its right place we can, but what is our position? If we are a leader we must ask, who is watching? Who am I influencing?
If we attend certain movies or events, who are we speaking to? If we give ourselves permission to speak a certain way, who will hear us? Have we become our own God? Have we, unwittingly, fallen for the lie, 'I am my own master'?
If we have listened to the lies, God sees, and will test us so that we can also see. We need to see our sin, as it will trip us up, and cause us to fall.
God is wanting to honour good. How about we examine our ways, so that He is honoured, and in turn be blessed? Amen!
