Isaiah
But he was pierced for our rebellion, crushed for our sins. He was beaten so we could be whole. He was whipped so we could be healed. Isaiah 53:5 NLT
The whole of Isaiah 53 speaks of Jesus, in fact it begins earlier in chapter 52 v 13, our we could go back throughout the book and see many references.
Why God chose Isaiah or that time to bring forth such prophesies, only God knows. However, I am glad He did. The book of Isaiah beats with the unborn heart of Jesus, it is formative and incredibly beautiful. Written 600 years before the event.
Forever we have this beautiful reference as an encouragement. My Jesus paid for all my sins, He bore my diseases and purchased my salvation and healing. Thank You Lord!
