obedience to death
Instead He emptied Himself by assuming the form of a slave, taking on the likeness of men. And when He had come as a man in His external form, He humbled Himself by becoming obedient to the point of death — even to death on a cross.
Philippians 2:7-8 HCSB
The mere fact that Jesus prayed three times to not have to face the cross, shows me Jesus was all man, a pure man who knew how to walk with God.
The scripture above says: He emptied Himself of His Godhead by becoming man. Jesus walked a pure life before God, just as Adam should have before Him. Although Satan tempted Jesus three times, Jesus resisted.
Jesus walked in the knowledge of who He really was, the Son of God. He now calls us to walk in who He redeemed us to be, His family, bought by His precious blood.
Today we can walk in purity of heart and mind as we lay down our 'rights' to react. Amen!
