rejoice oh persecuted ones

We can rejoice, too, when we run into problems and trials, for we know that they help us develop endurance. And endurance develops strength of character, and character strengthens our confident hope of salvation. And this hope will not lead to disappointment. For we know how dearly God loves us, because he has given us the Holy Spirit to fill our hearts with his love.
Romans 5:3‭-‬5 NLT

If there was anyone who faced persecution, apart from Jesus, it was Paul. He reaped an abundance of persecution, pressed down and shaken together. Paul had persecuted the early church, and when he realised his mistake turned from his ways. However, the very people he had worked for now were his persecutors.

His persecutors were the church of the day in Israel. The Christians were seen as reprobates. They were considered the scum of the earth.

In many areas of the world Christians are still persecuted. Anyone who can persecute them will. However, just like Christ we must love our enemies. Who knows perhaps our love will set them free? Amen!
