the heavens declare

The heavens proclaim the glory of God. The skies display his craftsmanship. Psalms 19:1 NLT

Each day the sky out my back window reveals God's glory. My phone camera is full of photos I have taken. The amazing thing is they are never the same. They are full of surprises: what can appear dull suddenly bursts forth into a display of glory. The sun can set, and all appears to be dark, then a sudden flood of glory erupts.

This is just like my God. I cannot say He is dull. He constantly surprises and amazes me with His glory. It is often the little things, the unexpected things. 

If we live with an expectant heart, we will find His glory. Always have ears and eyes open to Him.  Amen!

Little Things Grow

The boy's mother said to Elisha, "as The Lord lives and you yourself live, I will not leave you. So he got up and followed her. 2 Kings 4:30 The Shunamite woman had travelled to Mt Carmel to find Elisha after the death of her son. Although Elisha had sent his servant Gehazi to the boy with his staff the woman had come to find Elisha and was not leaving without him. I like this lady's spirit. I am sure The Lord God Almighty also valued her heart. She had a heart for God and made room for Him in her world. Now, having lost her son she knew what to do: find Elisha and not let him go until he came to restore her son. What made the Shunamite woman believe that Elisha could raise her son? Was it the same faith that made her provide him a place to stay in her home? I believe it was God working in her life. I am grateful for her faith, I can read and be encouraged.
