we have wandered
All of us, like sheep, have strayed away. We have left God’s paths to follow our own. Yet the Lord laid on him the sins of us all.
Isaiah 53:6 NLT
Every now and then we will see photos of sheep that have wandered away from the flock. Their wool is massively overgrown, they are fly blown and in desperate need of attention.
When we wander we may appear prosperous, we have a lot of stuff but we are wild, sick and woolly. Wheras those who stay with the fold are well kept from from disease, and healthy in spirit and soul.
This weekend I am away camping with family and their friends. It is lovely to be with people of faith. Last night, as we say around a log fire, we shared communion, prayed for forgiveness, and forgave those who had wronged us. Everybody, children and parents, joined in. It was good.
Easter is a time when we must remember and go to the Lord for forgiveness as never before. If Jesus could forgive those who nailed Him to the cross, we can forgive. Amen!
