we sheep

All of us, like sheep, have strayed away. We have left God’s paths to follow our own. Yet the Lord laid on him the sins of us all.
Isaiah 53:6 NLT

Bishop Michael Pitts says that God is not so much outcome conscious, but rather process conscious. He is interested in who we become in the process.

A good sheep, if there is such a thing, is obedient and follows the shepherd. Sheep are renown for being stupid, thus the need for  good shepherds, and nowadays a good dog. Some farmers also now include lamas, which tend to attack predators, when the farmer or his dogs are absent.

A good sheep is one which has been well cared for, producing quality wool or tasty meat. I think I'd prefer to be a wool producer myself. However, the Lord has a plan for us sheep. His plan is the most important of all.

The apostles would have preferred that God had a safer plan for Jesus, He also sought the Father for another way. However, we recipients of His victory are grateful.  Not He is seated at the right hand of the Father. Amen!
