don't worry

“That is why I tell you not to worry about everyday life—whether you have enough food and drink, or enough clothes to wear. Isn’t life more than food, and your body more than clothing? Matthew 6:25 NLT

Today I posted this verse on my FB page. A man I know wrote: easy to say, not easy to do. Yes I agree we are all tested in this regard. I was honoured this man was able to be vulnerable enough to say what he thought.

We all are on a learning curve with the Lord. We can acknowledge many things with words, however, our hearts disagree. We are not there yet, but we will be.

Tonight I saw a young Ukrainian man in hospital in Ukraine saying he was captured I  Mariupol, when injured. It appeared he had a fractured pelvis.  Whilst the Ruasians wanted to hurt him, they didn't. Instead they exchanged him for some Russians. He said he cried when he was on the bus back to an ambulance on his side. He knew it was not yet his time to die, he had more to do.

Trust the Lord for you stage in the journey! Amen!

Little Things Grow

The boy's mother said to Elisha, "as The Lord lives and you yourself live, I will not leave you. So he got up and followed her. 2 Kings 4:30 The Shunamite woman had travelled to Mt Carmel to find Elisha after the death of her son. Although Elisha had sent his servant Gehazi to the boy with his staff the woman had come to find Elisha and was not leaving without him. I like this lady's spirit. I am sure The Lord God Almighty also valued her heart. She had a heart for God and made room for Him in her world. Now, having lost her son she knew what to do: find Elisha and not let him go until he came to restore her son. What made the Shunamite woman believe that Elisha could raise her son? Was it the same faith that made her provide him a place to stay in her home? I believe it was God working in her life. I am grateful for her faith, I can read and be encouraged.
