my rock

The Lord is my rock, my fortress, and my savior; my God is my rock, in whom I find protection. He is my shield, the power that saves me, and my place of safety. Psalms 18:2 NLT
Jesus talks about another stone here:
Anyone who stumbles over that stone will be broken to pieces, and it will crush anyone it falls on.” Matthew 21:44 NLT

Jesus looked at them and said, “Then what does this Scripture mean? ‘The stone that the builders rejected has now become the cornerstone.’
Luke 20:17 NLT

Jesus is the cornerstone. If we fall upon Him in repentance we are broken, but if we refuse, ultimately,  He will fall upon us and we will be crushed.

Today I am confronted with a tendency to be judgemental when with a girlfriend, not towards her but about the world of politics, in particular. In other words I become an armchair critic. The Holy Spirit is convicting me of  better way. I now have an opportunity to fall upon the rock and be broken. I am up for more, so let's see what that looks like! Amen!
