verbals
“Honor your father and mother.” This is the first commandment with a promise: If you honor your father and mother, “things will go well for you, and you will have a long life on the earth.” Ephesians 6:2-3 NLT
Verbally is attributing a dishonest speech to a suspect, in other words it is lying. However, we can, in faith, speak over our parents and children instead of bad mouthing them, and complaining. Tomorrow is mother's day in Australia. We can have expectations, and even be negative towards our family's potential to perform them. However, I have another slant:
How about be grateful that our sons are working hard to teach their children how to respect their mums? How about being grateful that our son-in-laws are helping the children to cherish their wives, our daughters? We had our day in the sun. How about being grateful for the phone calls?
Expectations can destroy relationships. Don't let the enemy of your family in! Amen!
