Do you like to talk? I do, at certain times, to close friends. It is in these times of chatter we must be careful. It is so easy to seed a conversation with malice, judgement, criticisms. As someone who enjoys a chat, I have to be careful and watchful.

Remember: A troublemaker plants seeds of strife; gossip separates the best of friends.
Proverbs 16:28 NLT

There are so many things we can talk about, how about telling the good God is doing.  Let us be clarions of righteousness! If we see bad things happen,  let us pray!

Paul tells us : So be careful how you live. Don’t live like fools, but like those who are wise. Make the most of every opportunity in these evil days. Ephesians 5:15‭-‬16 NLT

He goes on to say: everyone should have a psalm, a hymn, a spiritual song. I know there are times when I am in a battle, I sing godly songs. It sure beats complaining.

The days are evil. Australia is being surrounded by China. They are building bases just to our north,  whilst we bicker and fight about the upcoming elections. We are fools if we ignore this. 

It is time to pray and seek God! Amen!

Little Things Grow

The boy's mother said to Elisha, "as The Lord lives and you yourself live, I will not leave you. So he got up and followed her. 2 Kings 4:30 The Shunamite woman had travelled to Mt Carmel to find Elisha after the death of her son. Although Elisha had sent his servant Gehazi to the boy with his staff the woman had come to find Elisha and was not leaving without him. I like this lady's spirit. I am sure The Lord God Almighty also valued her heart. She had a heart for God and made room for Him in her world. Now, having lost her son she knew what to do: find Elisha and not let him go until he came to restore her son. What made the Shunamite woman believe that Elisha could raise her son? Was it the same faith that made her provide him a place to stay in her home? I believe it was God working in her life. I am grateful for her faith, I can read and be encouraged.
