ancient acts
I will remember the Lord’s works; yes, I will remember Your ancient wonders. I will reflect on all You have done and meditate on Your actions. Psalms 77:11-12 HCSB
When we remember we must remember what God has delivered us from along our journey with Him, the benefits He has given us, the revelations, the surprises, the gifts, His Holy Spirit gifts. The longer we have walked with the Lord the greater the number of these. The children of Israel had a long history with the Lord, they had much to remember, and remember they should.
If we fail to remember God in the midst we can become bitter, complacent, we can fade in our testimony. Yesterday I talked with a friend who has forgotten, and he is now picking up the bondages of his family as they excuse his behaviour which is faithless. I am watching the enemy of this man's soul peg him to the ground as one thing after another bind him because he refused to use his faith.
Each of us have been given a measure of faith, much like the talent, we cannot bury it, we must use it for God's glory. Amen!
