lending to the Lord

If you help the poor, you are lending to the Lord— and he will repay you. Proverbs 19:17 NLT

There are many poor, and many opportunities to help them. Why not pray and ask the Lord where to direct your help.?

To know we are lending to the Lord, who is well able to repay us, we might be more confident in giving, rather than knowing the poor cannot repay. 

Last night I read an article about the Queen's wealth, and who would inherit it. It mentioned that she was very wealthy, but that a lot of her wealth came with the position, as in crown jewels. Only personal wealth can be distributed. The Queen was generous in life, and was sure to be generous in death.

What about us? We are sons and daughters of the most high God. What is expected us us? What can we do for the poor?
