Then I heard the Lord asking, “Whom should I send as a messenger to this people? Who will go for us?” I said, “Here I am. Send me.” Isaiah 6:8 NLT
It is interesting that this scripture comes up today. Yeterday I applied to be involved with Wycliff bible translators, it was also the day I received word that my application to do a research project on the local Kamilaroi people has been delayed, as there is no one to oversee me at my Uni. I wonder what the Lord is doing?
I know full well I am willing, and that the Lord will use me. However, where and how, He alone knows that part of the story.
Isaiah was caught up in a vision of God. What a frightening experience for him. Yet when the request came from God for someone to go, he volunteered. This cost Isaiah his life. He died by being sawn in two. Yet he was willing to go. So many of God's people are persecuted for their faith. Yet, even now the enemy has a plan to persecute even those who do not go, by allowing wicked people into power. They create wicked laws which kill and destroy.
Oh! But God is moving! So many are coming to know Him! Praise God!
