“The people who walk in darkness will see a great light. For those who live in a land of deep darkness, a light will shine.” Isaiah 9:2 NLT
This verse is often used when taking the gospel into dark places, however, this prophetic word also applied to Israel. The Assyrians had taken the people into captivity and this word seemed like an impossibility at the time. However, in the time of Gideon, with just a few men, God caused His people to be victorious over the Midianites. I also think of the time when Jesus walked the earth , this land would have seen the greatest light. Jesus is the light.
Missionaries take this light into dark places, places bound with idol worship. However, nothing is impenetratable to God! As we go into Nepal May the light shine! Amen!
