Immanuel

“All right then, the Lord himself will give you the sign. Look! The virgin will conceive a child! She will give birth to a son and will call him Immanuel (which means ‘God is with us’).”
‭‭Isaiah‬ ‭7‬:‭14‬ ‭NLT‬‬

I love prophesy! Isaiah, hundreds of years before the birth of Christ, prophesied that Jesus would come. Yet, the people of Israel, today and then, failed to put 2 and 2 together. Even now they struggle with the parts of Isaiah that talk about our saviour dying for our sins. They wanted the king who would deliver them from physical rulers, they did not care about their sins. When we do not care about our sins but want the pain to go away, we behave like this.

Christmas was the beginning of our deliverance. Jesus did not stay a baby, He grew up to be a young man who obeyed Hus Heavenly Father in all He did. The cross was always there before Him, He knew His future, He was the saviour of all mankind. Do we recognise our future? I am walking towards my time in Nepal in June. I am to teach English to the poorest of poor and bring Jesus. Already God is going before me. A young Nepali evangelist knows where we are going, is about to buy land, and my friend Warren will go before me to build a church/home/ school.

Last night I asked my relatives if I could use the money I was going to use for gifts for them to buy a cow for a poor family. They gave me permission. These are yet unchurched family. May God bless them for their gift. We, by our behaviour, show Jesus to those who do not know Him yet. Praise God!

Bring Immanuel into your world. Amen!
