“Even when I go through the darkest valley, I fear no danger, for You are with me; Your rod and Your staff — they comfort me.”Psalms 23:4 HCSB
Comfort is somethings we all seek. It has been this way from birth or even before. However, when we don’t receive it from a maternal source, even paternal source we look to replace this lack with food or drink. Mine was food from a young age. My grandmother chose alcohol, my youngest brother chose alcohol.
Fortunately I have managed my need mostly through learning God’s love and trusting Him. I still tend to eat when studying though. Yet when not studying the craving is gone. Praise God!
This Psalm tells us that God provides a table for us in the midst of our enemies. They get to watch us feast. May we learn to feast with our God! Amen!
