Darkest valleys

“Even when I go through the darkest valley, I fear no danger, for You are with me; Your rod and Your staff — they comfort me.”Psalms‬ ‭23‬:‭4‬ ‭HCSB‬‬

Only a week ago I sensed I was passing through a dark valley. I had returned from a trip to my old home town to do some research on a building that my grandparents had conducted a business and lived at. The following day as I attempted to check emails from my uni, I discovered I had failed to sit an exam and was being given a second chance. Horrified that I would overlook such an important event I determined to do the exam. My computer crashed. I tried my old computer and it seemed fine, and so I started the exam, soon it also crashed. Wondering what to do I put out an sos on Facebook, without reply. I contacted my relative across the street and was offered a loan computer until mine was sorted. I contacted my son who is my IT man and when he realised the gravity of my situation immediately organised a new rebuilt one for me. Meantime I had to contact my teacher and ask to be able to resist the exam. She graciously restarted it for me.

Whist the drama of losing data and access to the internet via my computer was trying , I had prayed and asked the Lord for His assistance. He provided. God is good! In my darkest valleys He is there! I must keep my head and trust that He will answer and provide! It is so easy to go to emotion, I can’t afford that! Amen!
