Strengthened

“But the Lord is faithful; he will strengthen you and guard you from the evil one.”2 Thessalonians‬ ‭3‬:‭3‬ ‭NLT‬‬

I am now, officially, on holidays. I have a week before beginning uni studies again. It feels weird to have no obligations. My dog and I climbed our hill again this morning, however, the remainder of the day has been spent sitting on the couch reading a novel. You might say I am being refreshed, strengthened even.

We can be pushed by ‘should’ activities. I could go to a meeting tonight at the fire brigade. However, apart from a hour at the beginning to say goodbye to a man I do not know, I would then be obliged to sit through a committee meeting. ‘No thanks!’

Tomorrow we have a partial eclipse of the sun, to which I may go and look though our solar scope at the astronomy centre, and tomorrow night I have connect group to which I definitely will go. 

I have read 2/3’s of my book and have another ready and waiting.  Holidays are fun! I am being strengthened! Praise God!
