There are times I would rather not have this role. This is especially true with offended family and friends. When confronted with anger I do not manage so well. I start to be intimidated and flounder with my reasonings. The end result is a debilitating sense of failure and inadequacy.
I do not like the victim mentality and this confrontation brings back to the surface bad memories. Today I decided to face my own fears and failures and see through to the other side.
I can not help people if I cannot face my fears. Many who know me would not think me fearful as I usually attack and confront willingly. However, when it comes close to home I struggle. It was the home front that let me down and where I was made to look a fool.
My prayer is that the Holy Spirit sets me free. I am sure He will, this is His ballpark. Amen!
