“We destroy every proud obstacle that keeps people from knowing God. We capture their rebellious thoughts and teach them to obey Christ.”
2 Corinthians 10:5 NLT
Jesus said, it is better to fall upon the rock and be broken than to have the rock fall on you and be crushed (Matt 21:44). The rock is the word of God and Jesus is the cornerstone. If we humbly come to Him in repentance and are broken we will save ourselves from judgement day when the rock falls on unbelievers and crushes them.
Paul talks about us dealing with our fleshly ways in the scripture above. There are times when I sense pride in my heart, I quickly ask for the Holy Spirit’s help to humble myself as I know what awaits pride, destruction.
The greatest gift we can give to another is the message of salvation, and the greatest gift thereafter is to disciple them, teaching them God’s ways.
Jesus said to the disciples, “Go into all the world and make disciples of all nations ….teach these disciples to obey all the commands I have given you.” (Matt 28:19,20). We need to disciple people: our children, grandchildren, nephews and nieces, friends and all we come in contact with. Amen!
