“For it is by believing in your heart that you are made right with God, and it is by openly declaring your faith that you are saved.”Romans‬ ‭10‬:‭10‬ ‭NLT‬‬

Believing that a Jesus is the way to God, and the willingness to confess this as truth alone is our price of salvation. He paid the full dowry, and the continual price. No amount of self-righteousness earns me eternal life, but faith in Him alone. I show this faith by the confession of my mouth.

Many so called righteous men and women believed in Jesus, but for fear of the Pharisees did not openly confess it. Their fear caused them to hide. Jesus said, ““Everyone who acknowledges me publicly here on earth, I will also acknowledge before my Father in heaven. But everyone who denies me here on earth, I will also deny before my Father in heaven.”

‭‭Matthew‬ ‭10‬:‭32‬-‭33‬ ‭NLT‬‬

This scripture tells us that confession is a part of salvation. These people were afraid not of death but of beling cast out of the synagogue. What is that compared to eternal life?
