Seek His strength

“Search for the Lord and for his strength; continually seek him.”1 Chronicles‬ ‭16‬:‭11‬ ‭NLT‬‬

We tend to rely on our own strength or the strength of others. Unfortunately, the west has come to rely too heavily on the government and complain bitterly when they fail to deliver.

God’s plan was for us to depend on Him. When the children of Israel wanted a king the wise would say, “you already have a king, the Lord God almighty”! However, they persisted wanting a flesh and blood ruler even though they were warned how costly this would be. Why do we do this ?

We want what we can touch and see. We do not want to trust in an invisible God. When Jesus walked the earth the push was to make Him their king. They loved His miracles. However,  the religious leaders did not like His methods. They wanted to control Him and He was not going to allow that. So, they crucified Him! Yet, He rose from the grave and will retun as king. I am sure there will be many who do not want Hkm to rule them, they like to control who manages affairs. They want to sack and employ according to their wishes. This will not happen. They will find Him a difficult king. Praise Him! However, He will be a righteous king. Amen!
