Living in

“All who declare that Jesus is the Son of God have God living in them, and they live in God.”1 John‬ ‭4‬:‭15‬ ‭NLT‬‬

This scripture speaks about abiding in God. Jesus spoke about this in John 15 when He said “I am the vine and you are the branches, abide in me and I will abide in you. Those who remain in me will produce much fruit. For apart from me you can do nothing.”(verse 5)

Living in a family, a home, a community requires us to live in love. This love has understanding and appreciation for the uniqueness of each person.

Yesterday I watched my middle grandson behave in such an amazing way with his siblings. He has insight and understanding. He reads his bible and walks in authority of the word of God. The amazing thing was that when he rebuked them they listened to him. This boy is 15. I praise God for this young man.

I am back in Australia for a short break before returning to Nepal. I am watching the family dynamic and appreciating viewing the way God is at work in my family. I rejoice as I know God is at work.

When I was growing up I was the eldest, however, I did not know Jesus as my saviour until I was 19. By this time I had left home. Before that time I did not have a lot to do with my siblings. I remember having time for my youngest two siblings as my mum was working and I helped where I could. However the middle three I could not talk with understanding on their thoughts, desires or hopes for their future. I was preoccupied with myself. This is sad. It would have been good to be more aware, more loving and more able to give to them.
