“The Son of Man will go just as it is written about him. But woe to that man who betrays the Son of Man! It would be better for him if he had not been born.”

Jesus was called the Son of Man when it referred to Him being in human flesh. He was about to die as a man, a perfect man, the perfect sacrifice for us who are imperfect and sinful.Jesus knew what prophesy said about Him and He also knew what the people, without illumination, said about Him. He came to obey the Father and heed what the Father said about Him.
Jesus was not distracted by men’s opinions. He steeled Himself like flint for the task ahead. Even so, He prayed three times for another way. His final statement however, was, ‘not My will but Yours be done’.
May we be so obedient! Amen
