“His divine power has given us everything we need for a godly life through our knowledge of him who called us by his own glory and goodness. Through these he has given us his very great and precious promises, so that through them you may participate in the divine nature, having escaped the corruption in the world caused by evil desires.”2 Peter 1:3-4 NIV
You may say, “but I don’t have everything I need, what about my bills”? God provides wisdom to manage our finances, and He provides those who will help us in our need. However, if we behave like a person in the world and do not live as a wise person, but rather as someone who has put their head in the ground, then we will not see the help God provides. When we ignore our problem we act foolishly. However, taking Godly counsel is wise.
God has given us His promises to use in faith to receive. His promises have power. If we confess His promises instead of the problem we find the power to overcome it. As we use His promises we participate in His divine nature. How good is that? His divine nature is one of love and faith, wisdom and peace. Amen!
