Let us not become weary in doing

Weariness is produces from hard work, but also from depressive thinking about appeared failed work.

In David’s last battle before he became a crowned king, it appeared he had lost it all. However, even though his men were calling for him to be punished, he went to the Lord and strengthened himself in Him. Why did he do this, how did he have the ability to do this? Because David had created a habit of strengthening Himself in God from when he was a shepherd. David asked God,” shall I go after those who have stolen our families and herds?” God said, “go after them and you will succeed!” Now David and his men were weary from a long journey and needed sustainenance. Some of his men actually could not go all the way. However, David still shared the spoils with them (1 Samuel 30).

We can learn a lot from David in his life on the run from Saul. His psalms and that written about him in 1 Samuel depicts a man who sought God and his ways. Even distraught and weary many times, he went to the Lord. He did not give up.

Do not give up! Amen!
