Pray for me

“Devote yourselves to prayer with an alert mind and a thankful heart.”Colossians‬ ‭4‬:‭2‬ ‭NLT‬‬

Paul goes on to ask for prayer that he might have opportunities to share the gospel. I could also ask this. In a  land where I do not speak the language proficiently enough, I need creative ways to share my faith. The Lord knows what ways will work, I don’t.

Yesterday I went swimming and on the way home visited many shops for things I needed. I made a point of being friendly and trying to communicate. Everybody needs a smile and courtesy. May I remember to ask the Holy Spirit for His clothing and awareness of His purpose.

Having an active prayer life for me is important. I have a prayer list and pray in the spirit over each seeking God how to pray for the needs of those on the list. Engaging my heart for them is the challenge and not being caught up with other thoughts. This requires me to pray intentionally. The Holy Spirit knows their needs. Seeking His guidance is imperative for me.
