Repentance is a gift. The Holy Spirit shows us our sinfulness and gives us the gift of repentance so that we can be born again as a child of God.
Today is Pentecost Sunday, it is the day we remember the outpouring of the Holy Spirit that turned timid fishermen into bold evangelists. As we receive the baptism in the Holy Spirit we are embolden to go into our worlds with the good news. I know when I am bold and I sure know when I am not. I prefer to have the Holy Spirit’s boldness when facing a spiritual enemy or a matter requiring faith.
We can hobble along without the baptism in the Holy Spirit, however, His power sure makes a huge difference. Seek Him for this today! Amen!
