There are times when we do not live our best lives, however, we need to strengthen the limbs that hang down:
“No discipline is enjoyable while it is happening—it’s painful! But afterward there will be a peaceful harvest of right living for those who are trained in this way. So take a new grip with your tired hands and strengthen your weak knees. Mark out a straight path for your feet so that those who are weak and lame will not fall but become strong.”Hebrews 12:11-13 NLT
John had cited a bad example lived out by a man called Diotrephes. He was not behaving as a Christian should. We all have these people. They trouble us and make us ashamed. They need our prayer and gentle rebuke. Remember, bad company corrupts good morals. Don’t run with the pack!
Tonight I am off to bible study and fellowship. I have been looking forward to this since Sunday. I have come to know these people and trust them to walk the right path. I have encouraged a friend to come, as I know good company challenges us, in the best way possible. Amen!
