Loyalty and faithfulness

“A friend is always loyal, and a brother is born to help in time of need.”Proverbs‬ ‭17‬:‭17‬ ‭NLT‬‬

All of us could tel stories of f friends and brothers who failed us in our greatest time of need. There are those faithful few who are faithful beyond all strain. However, I have a friend and brother in Jesus who outstrips them all.

I am in Denmark for the wedding of two dear friends along with two other friends. We have been through much together and stood by each other in need. However, we can expect even that to be tested.

My relationship with Jesus has been tested and proven true. He is faithful and beyond faithful. He lay down His life for me. I have clung to Him in all my trails and been tempted with self-sufficiency and friend back to Him again. He is all sufficient and al powerful but He does not disregard me.

All praise and all glory to the Son of God who loves me. He is worthy of all praise! Glory!

Power to live a godly life

“By his divine power, God has given us everything we need for living a godly life. We have received all of this by coming to know him, the one who called us to himself by means of his marvelous glory and excellence.” 2 Peter‬ ‭1‬:‭3‬ ‭NLT‬‬ Do you ever think, ‘I can’t be good today!’ ‘I don’t have the power to beat this temptation!’ Then you are wrong as Peter tells us above. We have His divine power to overcome. You might say, ‘But I don’t feel any different! So, since when does how you feel dictate the powers ability to help. If you believe you have it and step into it, you have it! For the longest time I have had a battle with a particular temptation and most times lost, because I tried to beat the feeling. However, I’ve discovered the battle is in my mind not my flesh. There have been many books written about the mind being the battlefield. Joyce Meyer wrote a good one: Battlefield of the Mind. No surrender to fear

““Don’t worry or surrender to your fear. For you’ve believed in God, now trust and believe in me also.” ‭‭John‬ ‭14‬:‭1‬ ‭TPT‬‬ Yesterday tens of thousands of youth stormed Parliament House here in Nepal. It has been reported that 20 were killed and hundreds were injured. I had stayed away from the area believing it to be unsafe and it was. Today, now that young people have been killed, there will be a greater strife brought about by parents of those who went to the protest. Milling children is never a good idea. Nepal has had a long history of strife. It has a civil war that lasted 10 years not so long back. Corruption fills the government and the people are not happy. However, underneath there are lovely human beings who need salvation. As in any race of people, there are people who have needs. I cannot be afraid of the uprest. I have a God who is the master of peace. He is good! I must trust Him. Amen!
