The best worship

“And so, dear brothers and sisters, I plead with you to give your bodies to God because of all he has done for you. Let them be a living and holy sacrifice—the kind he will find acceptable. This is truly the way to worship him.”Romans‬ ‭12‬:‭1‬ ‭NLT‬‬

Do we realise that sacrificing our opinions, our right to be right and our right to be justified as the best form of worship we can give to our God?

Sacrificing our selfishness is a pleasing odour to our God, whereas indulging our selfishness stinks.

One of my friends had an early start today. She was flying back to the States. I awoke feeling she might have slept in, she did. I quickly woke her and got her packed and off. It is only 4am and she had planned to be at the airport already. However, she wanted to be the required three hours early.

We’ve had an adventure together. I will not see my friend back in Nepal until February next year. It was goody to see her and spend time. With three of us together there were times we could have been annoyed and selfish but praise God we managed to allow Jesus to rule.

Relationships can try us, and they do. I pray for God’s grace for one more day then I fly to Amsterdam. I have booked into a hostel for women. I am looking for opportunities to minister and bless. God has a plan!

Lord thank You that as we give Your rulership You bless us! Amen!

Power to live a godly life

“By his divine power, God has given us everything we need for living a godly life. We have received all of this by coming to know him, the one who called us to himself by means of his marvelous glory and excellence.” 2 Peter‬ ‭1‬:‭3‬ ‭NLT‬‬ Do you ever think, ‘I can’t be good today!’ ‘I don’t have the power to beat this temptation!’ Then you are wrong as Peter tells us above. We have His divine power to overcome. You might say, ‘But I don’t feel any different! So, since when does how you feel dictate the powers ability to help. If you believe you have it and step into it, you have it! For the longest time I have had a battle with a particular temptation and most times lost, because I tried to beat the feeling. However, I’ve discovered the battle is in my mind not my flesh. There have been many books written about the mind being the battlefield. Joyce Meyer wrote a good one: Battlefield of the Mind. No surrender to fear

““Don’t worry or surrender to your fear. For you’ve believed in God, now trust and believe in me also.” ‭‭John‬ ‭14‬:‭1‬ ‭TPT‬‬ Yesterday tens of thousands of youth stormed Parliament House here in Nepal. It has been reported that 20 were killed and hundreds were injured. I had stayed away from the area believing it to be unsafe and it was. Today, now that young people have been killed, there will be a greater strife brought about by parents of those who went to the protest. Milling children is never a good idea. Nepal has had a long history of strife. It has a civil war that lasted 10 years not so long back. Corruption fills the government and the people are not happy. However, underneath there are lovely human beings who need salvation. As in any race of people, there are people who have needs. I cannot be afraid of the uprest. I have a God who is the master of peace. He is good! I must trust Him. Amen!
