Jesus’ purpose
“The thief’s purpose is to steal and kill and destroy. My purpose is to give them a rich and satisfying life.”
John 10:10 NLT
These are the words of our saviour. He tells us there is a thief, his name is Satan. If you have become dull to spiritual truths and believe there is no such being you are misguided. If the Son of God says the thief is real you better believe it.
Better than the thief is Jesus who says He has come to give us a rich and abundant life. He is not talking about worldly riches He is talking about the life you can know when He is at the centre. He is our peace in any storm, He is our way in dark valleys, He is our life when death attempts to consume us. When Jesus is at the centre He goes before us and gives us the ride of our lives. He is a constant adventure.
I just listened to a testimony from a young Christian woman who is Japanese and who the Lord led to open a restaurant in the area recently destroyed by catastrophic flood in Nepal. She cooked for the expats who had come to Nepal to work in the hydro plants. 23 people were in her restaurant on the morning the flood came. The Lord led her to the underground storage room below her restaurant and all her customers and staff along with her. When the floods hit she began to pray in tongues and continued to pray over a period of nearly two days. The presence of God filled that underground room. God led a rescue worker to there exact spot to dig. The people below heard voices above and began calling out. The rescuers liberated them and they rose through the sealed door to find everything gone. Over the period of days all of those who had been trapped came to faith in Jesus.
He is the Way! Amen!
