Value
1 Timothy 6:20 (MSG) And oh, my dear friend, guard the treasure you were given! Guard it with your life.
Sometimes we do not recognise what we were given. what causes the blindness? stuff in our lives that binds us into believing we are less than.
When Jesus dies for us He paid the price for our total freedom, body, soul, spirit. He paid the full price. He didn't quit after the flogging saying 'okay that's enough to set some of you free from some of your stuff.' He paid the full price, death outside the city, totally rejected by all.
We were not only set free but He invites us to sit with Him, this indicates 'okay lets relax now, I've done it all, you do not have to do a thing but accept My work.'
We are invited to sit in heavenly places not just here in the stuff, but far removed from the stuff, far removed from the critics, the judges, the destroyer. A place of sweet rest, friendship, love, relief.
This is Grace at it's best! I am totally loved just as I am, I am called brother, equal by the one who calls. I am not reminded of my past, despised for my present, but love as He sees me, I am free.
I must value me as He does. As I value me I say no to the accuser, the abuser, the liar, the cheat. I shut my door in the face of the robber. I value my house, my life. I am special, I am blessed and highly favoured of the Lord. Amen!
