Hungry Souls

Mark 7:24 (MSG) From there Jesus set out for the vicinity of Tyre. He entered a house there where he didn't think he would be found, but he couldn't escape notice.
Hungry people have a way of finding food! Jesus, the revealed son of God, defying the Pharisees and bringing hope to the hopeless was a breath of fresh air.
May I be a breath of fresh air to the lost, may they find rest in my company, may they hear life in my speech, may I give them food indeed and living water.
Lord bring me the lost, cause them to come! Fill me with Your grace. Amen!
Friday night I met with a group of 'singles' looking for the one, again I found that person. A woman I had found previously brought a man who's wife had left him for another woman.
The agony of being betrayed and discarded for another man would have been great but to have his very manhood thrown in the dust would have been truly grievous. Lord have mercy!
At the same gathering was a woman who had a religious spirit and she looked down her nose at the gathering. There were many disturbed people there who were not interested in the truth, but I was looking for 'the one'.
Lord I pray that the lost will see and hear You as the answer, You are the deliverer, You are the balm, the oil. Amen!

Little Things Grow

The boy's mother said to Elisha, "as The Lord lives and you yourself live, I will not leave you. So he got up and followed her. 2 Kings 4:30 The Shunamite woman had travelled to Mt Carmel to find Elisha after the death of her son. Although Elisha had sent his servant Gehazi to the boy with his staff the woman had come to find Elisha and was not leaving without him. I like this lady's spirit. I am sure The Lord God Almighty also valued her heart. She had a heart for God and made room for Him in her world. Now, having lost her son she knew what to do: find Elisha and not let him go until he came to restore her son. What made the Shunamite woman believe that Elisha could raise her son? Was it the same faith that made her provide him a place to stay in her home? I believe it was God working in her life. I am grateful for her faith, I can read and be encouraged.
