Change

Hosea 12:3-4 (MSG)  In the womb, that heel, Jacob, got the best of his brother. When he grew up, he tried to get the best of God. But God would not be bested. God bested him. Brought to his knees, Jacob wept and prayed. God found him at Bethel. That's where he spoke with him

God is able to break out against the hardest heart, to shape and mould. History shows us many who we would find unsaveable (new word), God delighted in bring to their knees with a revelation of who He is.

Before Jacob was born God had a plan. He let him grow and go his own way, in his own thinking but then there came a day where Jacob met the immovable God.

I must trust my God to move the hearts of those I love, to meet them when they least expect Him and change them forever.

Salvation belong to our God, it is His commodity, not ours. He delights in pursuing lost people. I love to watch Him. 

At DivorceCare last night our lost soul came from working two hours away in Shepherton just to be there. His life is changing. He has listened to the New Testament twice in the last week, he can because he is a truck driver. He admits he still can't quite get it but he is searching. This man will find salvation because salvation is courting him. Yes! 

Yesterday I had a rough day everything that could go wrong did but I knew that it was the enemy trying to distract me. I knew that the prize was a soul and I would not be deterred. I was excited because I knew my God was going to have a meeting with a son. Amen!

Little Things Grow

The boy's mother said to Elisha, "as The Lord lives and you yourself live, I will not leave you. So he got up and followed her. 2 Kings 4:30 The Shunamite woman had travelled to Mt Carmel to find Elisha after the death of her son. Although Elisha had sent his servant Gehazi to the boy with his staff the woman had come to find Elisha and was not leaving without him. I like this lady's spirit. I am sure The Lord God Almighty also valued her heart. She had a heart for God and made room for Him in her world. Now, having lost her son she knew what to do: find Elisha and not let him go until he came to restore her son. What made the Shunamite woman believe that Elisha could raise her son? Was it the same faith that made her provide him a place to stay in her home? I believe it was God working in her life. I am grateful for her faith, I can read and be encouraged.
