Choose Life

Malachi 4:1-2 (MSG)

"Count on it: The day is coming, raging like a forest fire. All the arrogant people who do evil things will be burned up like stove wood, burned to a crisp, nothing left but scorched earth and ash—a black day.

But for you, sunrise! The sun of righteousness will dawn on those who honor my name, healing radiating from its wings. You will be bursting with energy, like colts frisky and frolicking.

The above scripture comes from the very last book in the Old Testament. The New was about to begin.

Everything we do creates a consequence, and fatihfulness reaps a harvest, as does sin.

Rather than beat ourselves up with the sin, we need to repent and ask for grace to move past the sin.

Some sins cling so tightly but scripture promises that God gives us a way of escape, if we choose it.

Knowing truth and wilfully walking in sin creates a destructive harvest not only for ourselves but also for those who come behind.

Today, at this minute I must choose life. Laying down all the mess, all the desire to control, all the self-pity, all the arrogant self-righteousness leads to life.

Try it! Humble yourself and try something different, try God.

No matter what has gone before, no matter where you are now, try God, ask Him into Your world and give it all to Him. He creates His best miracles out of dirt.

His grace is greater than any power that seeks to control you, grace cuts through all bonds. amen!
